This is by far the best "SIP" client you can buy! For those complaining about the pushed call not working right, all you need to do is increase ringing time on your voip server. I use asterisk. And i let it ring for forty-five seconds. The only improvement I would like to see is IAX2 support, but this is a sip client. And works very well. This app works very well and I recommend it. As far as G729a is concerned, try to buy a single licence for less. Its not so easy. I find that price very reasonable. If you use voip and ate not using this, your missing out.

Just got it to use with voip.ms, works pretty nice so far. If u want to make calls using 3G, its extra 10 $.

I have this and a few other sip apps and so far is this is the best. I gave 4 out of 5 stars! only because it didnt have a visual voicemail or a voicemail MWI. Its seems like they forgot it. The push feature for incoming calls work great with no issues really. G.729 codec was extra but hey everyone has to pay the patent holder for this codec And works great on Rogers 3g network with my sip provider (Durhamvoip.net) Please upgrade voicemail features thank you Scott

I bought it to see if it could fit my needs but to no avail. I had trouble registering and when it registered I could not receive calls.

This program works very well with my SIP VoIP account. My only issue with it is that it doesnt seem to remember the output voice route even though Ive enabled this option. It always initially outputs the sound to the speakerphone even though the display shows that the sound shouldnt be coming from the speakerphone. I then have to toggle on and off the speakerphone icon in order to get the sound to only come from my iPhones earpiece. Im running this program under iOS4 on my 3GS.

I was looking forward to multitasking support to make this app perfect but on upgrading, I was no longer able to make outgoing calls. In addition the app crashed on several occasions when receiving calls. App crashes when no transport protocol is set under outgoing proxy in advance configuration. I am using Callcentric. Had to delete the app. DO NOT UPDATE TO V4. if using Acrobits have acknowledged and indicate that they are submitting a fix.

I am 100% satisfied with this app on my iPod Touch for placing and receiving phone calls. The new push notification in Acrobits Softphone version 4 seems faster for answering calls when my Touch is in stand-by. Setting up Acrobits Softphone to work with voip.ms was completely painless. Im hoping iOS 4 will get an update that will enable the microphone in Bluetooth headsets to work on the Touch. I havent tried it yet, but I dont think that combination works yet.

Better than Bria because of the background operation, but Acrobits needs call waiting feature.

Best VoIP softphone! Not perfect, but best of whats out there. G729 over 3G is crisp and clean, push works, no major problems. Recommended.

Bought the app for 7.99 Bought the codec 729a for 9.99 Poor Quality on both incoming and outgoing calls.. There is a huge delay for incoming calls thru push notifications... By the time the app is opened and connected.. The other person reaches the voicemail Poor stuff from acrobits

I tried first Bria, then this one. Honnestly, both are far away from traditional PSTN quality.

I have been making good quality calls over both wifi and 3G using G729. The calling and configuration interfaces are simple and efficient. I love it overall... Fix the newly added registering bug and also push notifications that hasnt work for me, and Ill give it a 5 stars.

Since Version 4.2 the sound was horrible

The app mostly works, I do find voice quality can sometimes be lacking even on wifi. Push is ok when it is working, but it isnt always working. Some calls get pushed while others never do, sometimes it will ring immediately while other times it rings after Im already chatting with the caller on the house phone. So really you cannot rely on push while youre mobile. My guess is their servers cant handle the load.

Set it up in less than 20 minutes. Done calling receiving calls quality is great. Great program.

Best VoIP phone app by far - Ive tried several and usually none if them work properly, except this one! A nice feature to have would be that we see from which account a call is coming from, in real-time and in the missed calls list and then it would be the perfect app!

Great app. The best Ive seen. Using this to connect to babytel.ca and it works great. Also purchased the G.729 annex codec and the audio is 100 times better. Hope you guys continue to make this better.
