iPhone 6
fix
support not responding, app stopped working with Google Voice
I didn’t like new app icon.
I have been a happy User for last few years, and on a busier level in the last few months. It has saved me money and time on international calls during my travels.
I’ve tried almost every Softphone in the IOS ecosystem. While some have slightly better GUI’s than others, few actually have working reliable push features to notify you when your phone is sleeping or locked. This is one of them I do see regular updates come thru, so development and patching is still happening, which is nice to see. I could see the devs improving the gui a little, and allow ringtone uploads, but overall, this Softphone mostly fits my needs and works well
feb2024- my Use case is unique, but very basic in terms of VOIP – I'm trying to make a peer to peer call on my local network from my iphone to an axis network speaker (really an axis network horn, which is a $600+ device from axis cameras). this is easy to do on any desktop PC, what I'm trying to do is the equivalent of making a voip call to: sip:192.168.1.104 this is the ONLY iOS app that worked! and I tried six different voip apps. The number of options and settings that this app exposes is incredible and shows that a lot of time and work, and quality went into developing this app. It's more than worth this seven dollar price I paid! thanks devs!
1. Goto caller list. 2. Hit a recent entry. 3. The App sometimes calls the wrong number.
At the most inopportune time all of a sudden it just doesn’t have any configuration and presents the legal terms and conditions dialog to accept before proceeding. Pretty bad. Works for months but then this happens out of the blue.
Useful and stable, my own pbx or public voip provider, especially NAT and encrypted calling , perfect app, bought it and you own it.
For SMS feature, get Groundwire instead (same developer)
The app description states this app supports sms. When I contacted their support to figure out how to use it, I was told it does not support sms. After I spent $7. I will be filing a complaint with Apple.
Clearly abandonware - very unfortunate. —- **** How about an iPad formatted, universal version, upgrade? **** --- Upgraded to 5 stars for g.729 support, and a slew of additional, excellent enhancements - not to mention the developer keeps improving and supporting an excellent VoIP client. I wish I could give him more $$$ ;-) --- Upgraded to 4 Stars for supporting calling straight over 3G. Woohoo! ---- I run my own PBX in a Flash home and office PBX, and have been looking for an appropriate client on iPhone. This does the job, and it does it very well. Some suggestions for enhancements that would catapult this well into 5 stars territory: - support for the G.729 codec for even better quality. Yes, G.729 costs money to license - make it an in-app purchase. I would gladly pay an additional $5 or so for that feature. - allow customizing the ringtones - add custom quick-buttons for VM, for example. - aesthetic changes of the look and feel to bring it more in line with the native look of an iPhone phone app, than some avant garde retro design experiment (allow selection of different skins, to appease avant garde retro afficionados). Maybe make skins an in-app purchase. ;-) Do these, and a shining 5 stars, and more money, will be yours ;-)
They fixed the really annoying camera issue! That was my only complaint. Great app!
After purchasing this app many months ago I’ve finally tried it with the FlyNumber wwPBX. Believe I’ve set it up with proper account info, yet every couple days SoftPhone gives me a pop up message that my FlyNumber account has expired on the push server. Huh. I know my account hasn’t expired on FlyNumber, but who is running the server mentioned? Where do I get help on this? Giving SoftPhone the shadow of doubt, I’ve rated it 3 stars even though it hasn’t yet served for a single phone call.
This app works well on all of my devices, even a Fire Phone! Love it on iPad and iPhone and iPod Touch. Too bad iOS 9 was dropped, though, for updates.
Market your great app to all the Counterpath Bria app users who now can only get a “subscription” to use their Bria client. Your app is great! and better than Bria!!!
With the may 17 update the app is heating up the phone and burning the battery down quickly while in the background. Apples battery usage tool shows this is the culprit. I ran a year or so old version before this and didn't have any battery issues with the same voip provider and phone hardware (6s+). An extra star because this no longer is pre-emptied by regular LTE phone calls.
Please add SIMPLE message support, it is very useful.
i use samsung070 in korea.can't work incoming call in push service.i can't hear voice or caller can't hear my voice. i had used it well.after update,I can't use push service.
I'm using an iPhone 7, and if you don't manually open this app at least once every few hours, calls won't come through. Not reliable, not a background service. Garbage.
I don't usually leave reviews, but it is SO WORTHWHILE to be upgraded to iOS 10 and using this app. The ability for this Softphone to integrate into the lock screen for call pick ups and the regular iOS Phone app is phenomenal!
Total failure
Using it on 6S Plus and 5S. The best SIP softphone out there. Great support! Use it with 6 accounts in multiple countries. Very stable.
fix
It closes application after 2 seconds after start
Crashes on open in iOS 9.3.
App crashes instead of connecting to call when opening from push notification or manually from home screen!!! Please fix ASAP.
The App is crashed
Great VoIP app, supports multiple providers and push notices. Best of all, the app over the past year get enhancements.. So it's supported well by the developers.
I’ve been using it for 2 years with no troubles. Plenty of features and configuration options. Push notification works well without requiring the app to run in background, so saving battery life. My voip provider, CallCentric, requires a “1” before all US phone numbers, and this app will automatically add that to any contact that doesn’t already have a leading “1”. Very convenient.
Well, I have been using this app a quiet a long time and I realized that it has less then 5 star and got surprised. Incoming calls with Push is amazing. You get to use your VoIP on 3G flawless (maybe they are the first one offered this). I recently purchased Bria to see if there is anything exciting because of their star rating, but honestly nothing new or better. So I decide to write this review. I would highly recommend this app over other paid apps. I wish there was iPad specific version.
How do I get a refund on this product? I ordered it accidentally.
This has proven to be immensely useful while traveling. While in the U.S. I have a local SIM with unlimited voice&data, and can easily point my "native" number to SIP calls, and have Acrobits Softphone notify me when I have an incoming call to my native cell - without hanging in the background and eating battery. Purchasing g.729 codec might seem to be expensive but 100% worth it. One missing feature I'd like to see is ability to set "route to SIP" in the app (e.g. for Megafon). Otherwise really appreciate the amount of work put in this truly useful app.
Still the best VoIP app available. For those of you who used the Google Voice feature it is no longer available. Not listed in the list of services and not listed on the help desk. A warning or update saying it was being removed would have been nice. Would have submitted a support ticket but the CAPTCHA on the support sure says "Invalid Site Key" and will not let me submit a ticket...
support not responding, app stopped working with Google Voice
I am revising my review! This uses your cellular data if no wi-fi However It is taking very small amount of data 'Ex:I spoke around 30 min on the cellular data took only 10 mb' I feel it is very small and crustal clear voice on LTE that to while driving! So I am very happy with this app so for! Would be good if it works on cellular minutes!
stable, works great. It has a good sip stack and the developers seem to understand what they are doing
Poor call quality with wifi also. Hope it will be fixed next version
The only reason I purchased this was so push notifications would work but they don't. UPDATE: Now push works but I realized this app can't handle but one call at a time, even if it is put on hold
When I attend the calls on iPhone it takes me to the unlock screen and by then the call is hung up. But the history records it as accepted where I could never speak
Very fast from app launch to calling. A must have for anyone with an iphone and poor cellular coverage. As long as you have wifi, you can make calls - even on iphones that didn't get wifi calling in iOS 8 such as the iPhone 5. You just need to pair it with a voip service.
This is a really great phone app compared with others out there. However 5.5.1 just created problems where everything was working fine previously with just the 5.5. The issue is my VoIP won't ring consistently anymore if at all with this 5.5.1 update! Please stop breaking the app with updates that are suppose to be fixing things!!
Pleas bring the new UI to the ipad as well, then this app can get 5 stars.
This app has always been very reliable and complete for SIP. The new UI to match iOS 7 is a bit late, but very well executed.
Out of many soft phon I used so far this one is worst. Issues Calling back a number not works if I am trying to call back from my missed call. I need to call dial to get connected . In case clicking from missed call error will be displayed Audio not going to Bluetooth device. Inconvenient while driving No option for Poor coverage area. Vonage soft phone has option to get connected on your cell phone by incoming call
It is great app, just need to fix the bottom display in iPhone 5
Using it for work and it is very reliable
o(^_-)O
Please fix iphone 4 ios 6 previous version good now crashes won't open
I strongly recommend this app for VoipSysCom users. Great performance, great UI and excellent voice quality. Best voip application value for money.
Got it for unovon SIP which it promises.. But unovon doesn't work
